Read this from a book called "Little Black Book for Graduates" by Blaine Bartel. Thot of sharing this with you pplz. (it's in my own words to avoid infringing copyright laws.hehha)
1. Equally yoked.
(2 Cor 6:14) Imagine being tied with a rope with another person and you want to go right and wants to go left. How far will you get in the race of life? This person should be going the same direction spiritually as you.
2. Common interests.
It's good to have many similar interests. Do make sure you enjoy many of the same things so that you can do them together.
3. Same values.
It is important to talk about the values you both have. There could be major disagreements in the relationship due to differing values.
4. Like-mined goals.
Goals for life, marriage, family and finances. Most of your goals should be similar.
5. Respect for you.
Does the person see the God-given gifts and see your uniqueness, or is the person always trying to change you?
6. Character.
Godly character? Does what is right or what is popular?
7. Attraction.
You should find the person attractive. God wants you to have someone you love both inside and out.
